Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 July 2026
MemoMe is a place for your ideas, and your ideas are yours. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the controls you have.
Who we are
MemoMe (“MemoMe”, “we”, “us”) is an ideas-capture application. This policy covers the MemoMe iOS app and the website at memome.xyz. If you have any questions, reach us at hello@ridiculouscorp.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the product needs to work:
- Account & identity. Your email address, used for passwordless sign-in (a magic link). We do not store a password.
- Audio you record. When you capture by voice, the audio is sent for transcription and turned into text.
- Your memos. The transcripts and typed notes you create, along with the structure MemoMe derives from them (classifications, entities such as people and projects, and connections between ideas).
- Usage & diagnostics. Basic events needed to run the service and enforce plan limits (for example, counts of captures and requests), and standard technical logs.
- Purchase status. If you subscribe, we record your plan tier and subscription status. Payment card details are handled by Apple, not by us.
How we use it
To transcribe your voice, organise and connect your ideas, answer questions grounded in your own memos, provide and secure your account, enforce plan limits, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content of your memos to train third-party AI models.
Service providers we share with
We use a small number of trusted processors to deliver the product. They act on our instructions and only receive what they need:
- Supabase — hosts your account and stores your memos in our database, protected by row-level security so each user can only reach their own data.
- Deepgram — converts your recorded audio into text (speech-to-text transcription).
- Anthropic and OpenAI — provide the AI models that classify, connect, and answer questions about your ideas. Content sent for processing is not used to train their models.
- Vercel — hosts the MemoMe backend and this website.
- Apple & RevenueCat — process and manage subscriptions. Your payment details go to Apple directly.
Retention
We keep your memos for as long as your account is active so the product is useful to you. Recorded audio is processed to produce a transcript and is not retained as a permanent library once transcription is complete. When you delete a memo it is removed; when you delete your account, your associated data is deleted.
Your rights & controls
You can access, edit, and delete your memos from within the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data — email us and we will honour them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your memos is scoped to your account at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
MemoMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
